IE Library has participated in the XII Meeting of CLADEA

7327f02a-411e-4454-ae76-8d2c08365531IE Library has participated in the  XII Reunión de la Agrupación de Directores de Centros de Información de CLADEA organized by Universidad de Valparaíso, Chile.

The program included different lectures by outstanding  academics; presentations of experiences and projects of the participants and also visits to universities in the city and other places of interes such as the Library of the Congress.

IE Library is associated member of  CLADEA (Consejo Latinoamericano de Escuelas de Administración). This international organization, provides a system of international cooperation and reciprocal membership has links with leading academic institutions in the world. Has more than 140 affiliated schools in Latin America, North America, Europe and Oceania.

La Biblioteca IE ha participado en la XII Reunión de CLADEA

La Biblioteca IE ha participado en la XII Reunión de la Agrupación de Directores de Centros de Información de CLADEA, organizado por la Universidad de Valparaíso, Chile.

El programa comprendió diferentes conferencias magistrales a cargo de destacados académicos; ponencias sobre experiencias y proyectos de los asistentes, así como visitas a las Universidades en la ciudad y otros lugares de interés como la Biblioteca del Congreso.

Biblioteca IE es miembro asociado de CLADEA (Consejo Latinoamericano de Escuelas de Administración). Organización internacional, que provee un sistema de cooperación a nivel internacional y mantiene vínculos de membresía recíproca con las principales instituciones académicas del mundo. Cuenta con más de 140 escuelas afiliadas de Latinoamérica, Norteamérica, Europa y Oceanía.

IE Library has participated in the IFLA Latin America and the Caribbean Standing Committee Mid-term Meeting, held in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

The theme of the meeting was focused on discussing the current situation of libraries in Spain and each country of Latin America, to create strategic alliances that foster the growth of member libraries.

IE Library is a member of The International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA), that is the leading international body representing the interests of library and information services and their users. It is the global voice of the library and information profession. As a member of IFLA, IE Library is actively involved in working groups and help developing standards and guidelines; take part in meetings, seminars and workshops, discuss about tendencies and innovation with libraries worldwide.

Biblioteca IE –  Reunión Comité Permanente de la sección América Latina y el Caribe de la IFLA

La Biblioteca IE ha participado en la  reunión intermedia del Comité Permanente de la sección América Latina y el Caribe de la IFLA , en Buenos Aires, Argentina.

El tema de la reunión se centró en debatir la situación actual de las bibliotecas de España y de cada país latinoamericano, para crear alianzas estratégicas que impulsen el crecimiento de las bibliotecas miembro.

La Biblioteca IE es miembro de la IFLA (Federación Internacional de Asociaciones de Bibliotecarios y Bibliotecas) que es el principal organismo internacional que representa los intereses de los servicios bibliotecarios y de documentación de sus usuarios. Es el portavoz a nivel mundial de los profesionales de las bibliotecas y la documentación. La Biblioteca IE colabora activamente en los grupos de trabajo, donde ayuda a desarrollar normas y directrices; participa en reuniones, seminarios y talleres, donde se discuten tendencias e innovaciones con bibliotecas de todo el mundo.

IE Library has hosted EBLIDA Executive Committee Meeting

IE Library has hosted the first 2015 Executive Committee Meeting of EBLIDA, European Bureau of Library, Information and Documentation Association. The committee is formed by profesionals from the library field from different european cpuntries such us Austria, Germany, Italy, Sweden , France, The Netherlands and more.

As an associated member, the Library hosted the event with FESABID, who’s president, Glòria Pérez-Salmerón, is also Vicepresident of EBLIDA. The meeting has been held at  IE Business School, Madrid.

The goal of EBLIDA is to lobby in Europe on matters of concern to libraries and also to share best practice and news on matters of common interest. The topics at the core of EBLIDA are currently copyright and information law, digitization and online access, the role of libraries in culture and the information society.IE Library gives support to contribute to the directions in which European libraries should move. IE Library at EBSLG Conference in Russia

d1_5IE Library has participated in the EBSLG annual conference “Library Redesign for the Next User Generation” heldby Graduated School Of Management in Saint Petersburg, Russia. The  topic was: “New Generation* at the library: behavioral patterns. Perception of Library Service.”

Debates where focus on Resource and Service Requirements of the New Generation, and how to provide information to this New Generation. There has been also sessions designed to bridge areas of user behavior and user psychology and promote cross-disciplinary interaction.

IE Library is member ofEuropean Business School Librarian’s Group. The purpose of EBSLG is to provide a pan-European forum for the directors of the libraries of the leading European business schools. Members meet twice per year to discuss issues of mutual interest, share information and participate actively in working groups.

La Biblioteca IE participa en  la Conferencia de EBSLG en Rusia

La Biblioteca IE ha participado en la Conferencia de EBSLG “Library Redesign for the Next User Generation”organizada por Graduated School Of Management en San Petersburgo, Rusia. El tema de discusión fue “New Generation* at the library: behavioral patterns. Perception of Library Service.”

Los debates giraron en torno a los Recursos y Servicios requeridos para la Nueva Generación de usuarios, y cómo facilitar información a esta nueva generación. Además,  tuvieron lugar sesiones diseñadas para crear puentes entre el comportamiento de los usuarios y su psicología, así como fomentar la interacción interdisciplinaria.

La Biblioteca IE es miembro de European Business School Librarian’s Group. El propósito de EBSLG, es proporcionar un foro paneuropeo para las bibliotecas de las principales escuelas de negocios europeas. Los miembros se reúnen dos veces al año para discutir temas de interés común, compartir información y participar activamente en grupos de trabajo.

Photo_EBSLGConference2014IE Library has participated in the European Business Schools Librarians’ Group Conference 2014, that was held at Saint Petersburg on June 2014. The annual conference gathers all EBSLG members once a year, with the aim of share experiences, work together and create new initiatives and synergies.  

The topic of the conference was LIBRARY REDESIGN FOR THE NEXT USER GENERATION. Discussions were focus onVirtual Scholars, the Google Generation, Smartphones and the Social Media, electronic resources, redesigning spaces and the reading room, services and help, andStrategic Session on Library Business Model, everything for the next user generation.

The conference also has counted with an international session with representatives from ABLD (Academic Business Library Directors), APBSLG (Asia Pacific Business School Librarians’ Group) and CLADEA (The Latin American Council of Management Schools). 

Last March EI Library organized and hosted the 2014 EBSLG Continental meetingon both campuses of IE Business School, and IE University. 

IE Library is a full member of European Business School Librarian’s Group. The purpose of EBSLG is to provide a pan-European forum for the directors of the libraries of the leading European business schools. Members meet twice per year to discuss issues of mutual interest, share information and participate actively in working groups.

La Biblioteca IE ha participado en la Conferencia 2014 de EBSLG

La Biblioteca IE ha participado en la Conferencia 2014 del Grupo de Bibliotecarios de Escuelas de Negocios Europeas (EBSLG) que ha tenido lugar en San Petersburgo en Junio de 2014. La conferencia anual reúne a todos los miembros EBSLG una vez al año, con el objetivo de compartir experiencias, trabajar juntos y crear nuevas iniciativas y sinergias.

El tema de la Conferencia ha sido REDISEÑAR LA BIBLIOTECA PARA LA PRÓXIMA GENERACIÓN DE USUARIOS. Los discursos se centraron en temas como Entornos académicos virtuales, la Generación de Google, los Smartphones y las Redes Sociales, los recursos electrónicos, rediseñar espacios y la sala de lectura, servicios y ayuda, y una Sesión Estratégica sobre Biblioteca Modelo de Negocio, todo para la próxima generación de usuarios.

La Conferencia también contó con una sesión internacional con representantes de ABLD (Academic Business Library Directors), APBSLG (Asia Pacific Business School Librarians’ Group) y CLADEA (El Consejo Latinoamericano de Escuelas de Administración).  Read more…
