Photo_EBSLGConference2014IE Library has participated in the European Business Schools Librarians’ Group Conference 2014, that was held at Saint Petersburg on June 2014. The annual conference gathers all EBSLG members once a year, with the aim of share experiences, work together and create new initiatives and synergies.  

The topic of the conference was LIBRARY REDESIGN FOR THE NEXT USER GENERATION. Discussions were focus onVirtual Scholars, the Google Generation, Smartphones and the Social Media, electronic resources, redesigning spaces and the reading room, services and help, andStrategic Session on Library Business Model, everything for the next user generation.

The conference also has counted with an international session with representatives from ABLD (Academic Business Library Directors), APBSLG (Asia Pacific Business School Librarians’ Group) and CLADEA (The Latin American Council of Management Schools). 

Last March EI Library organized and hosted the 2014 EBSLG Continental meetingon both campuses of IE Business School, and IE University. 

IE Library is a full member of European Business School Librarian’s Group. The purpose of EBSLG is to provide a pan-European forum for the directors of the libraries of the leading European business schools. Members meet twice per year to discuss issues of mutual interest, share information and participate actively in working groups.

La Biblioteca IE ha participado en la Conferencia 2014 de EBSLG

La Biblioteca IE ha participado en la Conferencia 2014 del Grupo de Bibliotecarios de Escuelas de Negocios Europeas (EBSLG) que ha tenido lugar en San Petersburgo en Junio de 2014. La conferencia anual reúne a todos los miembros EBSLG una vez al año, con el objetivo de compartir experiencias, trabajar juntos y crear nuevas iniciativas y sinergias.

El tema de la Conferencia ha sido REDISEÑAR LA BIBLIOTECA PARA LA PRÓXIMA GENERACIÓN DE USUARIOS. Los discursos se centraron en temas como Entornos académicos virtuales, la Generación de Google, los Smartphones y las Redes Sociales, los recursos electrónicos, rediseñar espacios y la sala de lectura, servicios y ayuda, y una Sesión Estratégica sobre Biblioteca Modelo de Negocio, todo para la próxima generación de usuarios.

La Conferencia también contó con una sesión internacional con representantes de ABLD (Academic Business Library Directors), APBSLG (Asia Pacific Business School Librarians’ Group) y CLADEA (El Consejo Latinoamericano de Escuelas de Administración).  Read more…
