_MG_8123IEU_Architecture_1stYear Students are happy to announce they recently completed a “1:1 Digitally Fabricated” installation at IE University Segovia Campus convering the stairs that lead to Architecture’s space.

The installation is the result of “Computing_Virtual Space”  taught by IE Professor Anna Pla Catalá and further developed in collaboration with IE Professor Adolfo Nadal.

The installation is materially made out of: 200u paper panels + 300ml of fish thread + 121 zip ties + 10 hours of Laser Cutter + 20 hours of assemblage + a lot of enthusiasm!!

Because of the paper panels being coloured and distributed in seamingless rows, they build up a continuous curvature double surface displaying multiple structural as well as phenomenological effects (chromatic, shadow etc.)

Thank you and Congratulations to BA_Architecture Virtual Space 2014 !!
