IE University, prize “Segovia Experience”

20130405_210735IE University received the Special Jury Prize from the ‘Segovia Experience’ awards, organized by the Provincial Government of Segovia. IE University was recognized for being one of the best universities in Spain and for appearing in the top thirty in the world, according to several international education rankings. 

The awards ceremony was held at the Teatro Juan Bravo of Segovia, and counted with the presence of social and political authorities from the region. The Special Award was received by the Rector, Salvador Carmona, who in his speech stressed the closeness of the institution, his commitment to Segovia and his aspiration to make this campus “a reference of quality higher education in Europe.” He also assured that his students, from 80 nationalities, deeply appreciate the city and reiterated his desire to “place Segovia in the sector of International Education.” 

Carmona revealed that Segovia is a city opened to the world, multicultural, creative and innovative; he also added that “we are very proud to spread its name through the activities organized by our twenty-four international offices around the world.”

IE University, premio “Segovia Experience” 

IE University recibió el Premio Especial del Jurado de los galardones ‘Segovia Experience’, que organiza la Diputación Provincial de Segovia. IE University fue reconocida por ser una de las mejores universidad de España y figurar entre las treinta mejores del mundo, de acuerdo con varios rankings internacionales de educación. 

La ceremonia de premios se desarrolló en el Teatro Juan Bravo de Segovia, con la presencia de autoridades políticas y sociales de la región. El Premio Especial fue recogido por el Rector, Salvador Carmona, que en su discurso subrayó la cercanía de la institución, su apuesta por Segovia y su aspiración de convertir este campus «en referente de la educación superior en Europa». Asimismo, aseguró que sus alumnos, de 80 nacionalidades, aprecian profundamente la ciudad y reiteró su vocación de «integrar a Segovia en el ámbito educativo internacional». 

Carmona puso de manifiesto que Segovia es una ciudad abierta al mundo, multicultural, creativa e innovadora y añadió que “estamos muy orgullosos de difundir su nombre a través de las actividades desarrolladas por nuestras veinticuatro oficinas repartidas por diversos países de todo el mundo”.
