Carlos Quintáns will be the protagonist of the third workshop of IE Timber Seminar, organized with American Hardwood Export Council. In this workshop, the students could share their doubts with a professional very related with the use of material in architecture, mainly with wood.
Carlos Quintáns is an architect, professor, coordinator and editor. “Construction” takes a fundamental part of his thoughts. He is the director of TECTÓNICA, an important architectural magazine specialized in construction.
Quintáns will talk about wood as a powerful material for contemporary architecture and he will illustrate the conference with examples of traditional architecture and with his own experience as an architect by the use of timber construction in his own works. Students will understand wood as a concept, as finishing, as structure…, the wood in the architectural project.
