The Disseny Hub Barcelona (DHUB) hosts the exhibition “Design Manuals for a Dying Planet” that assembles an array of ecological material experiments developed by underground architectural groups in the 60s and the 70s. EcoRedux02, which is the fourth temporary exhibition of Fabrication Laboratory, aims to connect a critical vision of Ecology with digital processes.
EcoRedux 02, curated and designed by Lydia Kallipoliti in collaboration with IE University professor Anna Pla Català, exhibits a collection of strategies and resources devoted to ecological design and it shows the concern of architects for the social and political situation of those years, the emergence of environmental awareness and the hope that technologies can be turned into therapeuthic tools in order to save the planet.
In the exhibition, the visitor can enjoy the results of a workshop in Digital Fabrication run by IE School of Architecture professor Anna Pla in which students of Architecture from IE University, Technical University of Crete and Cooper Union (NYC) have participated.
