buda3During five days of creativity and ideas, from the 17th to the 21st of May, the Hungarian public had the opportunity to meet international authors, thinkers and musicians. The program counted, among others, with the participation of one of the most important American novelists Nicole Krauss, architect Odile Decq, the American research journalist Carl Bernstein and writer Péter Esterházy.

IE University, Jose Manuel Lara Foundation, the Embassy of Spain in Hungary and the Instituto Cervantes were again major contributors in this new release. Within the program, IE University hosted a conversation about the future of design and contemporary architecture between Martha Thorne, Associate Dean of IE School of Architecture & Design and Odile Decq, internationally renowned French architect, known for works such as the MACRO Museum in Rome or the Phantom Restaurant of the Opera Garnier in Paris.

buda4The Fundación José Manuel Lara in collaboration with IE University and Instituto Cervantes offered a talk between the novelist Maria Dueñas, who spoke to Georg von Habsburg, a member of the International Advisory Board of IE and chief editor of Vanity Fair, Marta del Riego. Professor Rolf Strom-Olsen talked with the Hungarian marketing expert and creator of TEDx Danubia, Csaba Manyai on the influence of technology in public discourse.

Hay Festival, founded in Hay-on-Wye twenty five years ago, has become one of the most important cultural events in the world with eleven festivals in five different continents.

IE UNIVERSITY EN HAY FESTIVAL BUDAPEST

image (2)Durante cinco días de creatividad e ideas, del 17 al 21 mayo, el público húngaro tuvo la oportunidad de conocer a autores internacionales, pensadores y músicos. El programa contó, entre otros, con la participación de una de las novelistas estadounidenses más importantes Nicole Krauss, la arquitecta Odile Decq, el periodista de investigación estadounidense Carl Bernstein y el escritor Péter Esterházy.

IE University, La Fundación José Manuel Lara, la Embajada de España en Hungría y el Instituto Cervantes volvieron a ser colaboradores principales en esta nueva entrega. Dentro del programa, IE University patrocinó una conversación en torno al futuro del diseño y de la arquitectura contemporánea entre Martha Thorne, vicedecana de IE School of Architecture & Design y Odile Decq, arquitecta francesa de renombre internacional, conocida por obras como el Museo MACRO de Roma o el Phantom Restaurant de la Opera Garnier de París.
