On Monday 27th of February the debate on Corporate Social Responsibility and the Law will be held from 16:30 to 17:30 in Room 122. 

The object is to debate the place that Corporate Social Responsibility should have in your professional career; together with being a good lawyer there is an important aspect of contribution to society that is very relevant in the legal business.  The debate will be chaired by Coloma Armero and Marisa Méndez. 

Coloma Amero has been a practicing lawyer since 1979 (former managing partner at Bufete Armero and at Uría Menéndez). She is member of the Board of Directors of Mutua Madrileña. In her professional practice, she has focused on Commercial Law, in particular, in cross-border Mergers and Acquisitions, having participated in some of the most important cross-border transactions involving international companies.

 She is a member of the Advisory Committee of the Fundación Exit and a regular supporter of the Lawyers Social Responsibility Centre of Madrid Bar Association. She is a member of the PILnet Pro Bono Committee, and forms a part of the International Committee of the General Council of Spanish Bar Associations. 

Marisa Méndez is a former finance lawyer with Clifford Chance who now assists law firms in adopting and executing effective business development strategies. She has lead the regional marketing function of a global law firm. Marisa has been an Associate Professor at IE Law School since 2002.
