Dr. Miguel Angel Gandarillas Solinís, professor of the School of Psychology at IE University, carried out an intense series of colloquiums, talks, and seminars in The Netherlands between the 24th of May and the 2nd of June.  Within an exchange Erasmus program with the University of Groningen, prof. Gandarillas organized in Groningen a Colloquium on the future of public safety in our diverse cities, with professors, researchers and practitioners.

On the 26th, he had 2 oral communications at the 15th European Congress on Work and Organizational Psychology in Maastricht.  One presented the new results of the research on “Diversity Leadership Styles among Bank Managers”, study carried out with Caja Segovia (a savings Bank) and the Rotterdam School of Management at the Erasmus University of Rotterdam. The other presentation, “Organizational Development to Community Governance Round-trip” addressed the opportunities of organizational change on public administrations through community-centred inter-organizational coordination.  

Finally, Dr. Gandarillas led a group of Spanish police chiefs visiting good practices and experiences in Amsterdam and Enschede on inter-agency coordination in public safety.  The visit was part of an International Seminar on Good Practices in Community Policing of IE University.
